Have you hear of Nakkiah Lui? You may not know her name yet, but you may definitely have seen her work. Did you see this, Tatiana, the cultural excuse girl, on ABC TV last year?
or may you know her as the leader of the Aboriginal Liberation Front (ALF)?
Well Nakkiah is a playwright and has a new play, Kill the Messenger, opening at Belvoir Street Theatre in Sydney later this month. She both wrote and stars in the play. Here is a clip about the new production:
Kill the Messenger is based on a number of true stories, about a man refused health care, Nakkiah’s grandmother’s death, and her “dodgy sex life”.
Kill the Messenger opens on 14th of February 2015 in Sydney at Belvoir St.
